The QueerFilmFest takes place at the Lichtspieltheater Wundervoll li.wu. in the FRIEDA 23 at Friedrichstr. 23, 18057 Rostock.

The cinema is centrally located not far from Doberaner Platz, where tram lines 1, 2, 3, 5 & 6 and bus line 25 stop. From there it’s about a 5-minute walk. You can find more information about public transport on the RSAG website.

Limited parking spaces (paid) are available in the surrounding streets.

Venue

The cinema is located at ground level in FRIEDA 23 and is easily accessible by wheelchair. The entrance to the building and the entrance to the cinema are step-free. In the cinema itself, stairs lead to the individual rows of seats.

The cinema has one wheelchair seat at ground level with space for an accompanying person next to it or two wheelchair seats at ground level if the accompanying persons are not seated directly next to them.

Please register in advance for the wheelchair spaces, ideally as soon as you have decided to attend one of the films or short film blocks. You can register by email to mail@liwu.de, by phone at 03814903859 or in person at the cinema box office.

There is also a wheelchair-accessible toilet in the foyer of the FRIEDA 23 cinema.

Toilets

All gender toilets

There are three different toilet facilities in the foyer of FRIEDA 23 (right next to the entrance to the cinema). The first toilet room contains several toilet cubicles, the second contains one toilet cubicles and urinals. During the QueerFilmFest, these toilets are all gender toilets.

Wheelchair-accessible toilet

The third toilet room is a wheelchair-accessible single toilet. The door is about 95 cm wide.

Single gender toilets

There are further toilet rooms on the ground floor next to the lift. One of them contains several cubicles. The second room contains two toilet cubicles and urinals. During the QueerFilmFest, these toilets are single gender toilets.

Catering

If you would like to get something to eat or drink during QueerFilmFest, you have several options:

You can buy alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and small snacks at the li.wu. cinema box office.

There is a supermarket behind the FRIEDA 23 building which is open until 9pm (closed on Sundays).

Around Doberaner Platz and in Kröpeliner-Tor-Vorstadt you will find several supermarkets, late-night shops, restaurants, cafés and snack bars.

If you walk along the city harbour, you will also pass many restaurants and bars in both directions.
